Coming up next month is the senior national glider contest at Seminole Lake Gliderport in Clermont Florida. This cross country gliding contest includes tasks anywhere from 50 miles to a couple hundred miles. Watching the launch in the morning and finish in the evening, with Sixty-plus gliders all taking off in an hour and then finishing during a similar period of time. Our towplane will be there towing for the launching of the gliders in the morning.
There is also an aerobatic contest coming up at he end of March. This will be the first contest of the year so everyone will be out knocking off the rust. Many of the US advanced aerobatic team will be there competing and earning their spot on the team. If you would like to compete or volunteer there is still plenty of time to practice and sign up.
Sun N Fun is just around the corner. The Eagle Sport club will have a presence there bringing the Pitts to get people interested in a low cost way to get into aerobatics. If you would like to go there are volunteer opportunities as well as a possibility of a club outing.
