It's More Fun in the SAC: Sport aviation includes flying vintage, tail wheel, ultra-light and glider aircraft. In order to learn about these wonderful categories of aircraft, the SAC hosts ground schools, weekend retreats and field trips to airshows and restoration sites. Friendships and networking are a given within the SAC. This club has contact with such people as Matt Chapman—pilot of the ERAU aerobatic aircraft, Bill Lear Jr., and Michael Goulian—Red Bull Air Race pilot and aerobatic pilot. On campus, the SAC is involved in events such as Charity House, AOA's Pull-A-Plane, Homecoming, and various volunteer opportunities. Student club activities include Drop What You Brought fundraiser and a signature on-campus event is soon to come. As a student club member, you receive discounted events and free travel to events. As an active student club member, you could win a scholarship for membership or flight time with a local flying club, Eagle Sport Aviation (ESA). ESA supports the student club events and gives students the opportunity to fly in their aircraft.
