Our Orientation programs are in-person, and some will be livestreamed through Zoom so that families can watch virtually. See the schedules below for more information.

 

New Students

  • Spring 2025

    For students starting in the Spring term, New Student Orientation will be held on January 7, 2025.

    Check-in/Move-in
    Embry-Riddle Check-in and Move-in will take place on Monday, January 6 from 9:00am-12:00pm in the Student Union Event Center.

    Parking
    If you bring a vehicle to campus, you can register your vehicle and purchase a parking decal by visiting the Vehicle Citation and Permit Decal Portal. You will receive your decal in the mail within 7 days. For resident students, please wait to order your decal until you receive your campus mailbox number, so the decal can be mailed to you on campus. Make sure to print your temporary permit at the end of your order. This temporary permit should be placed on your dash and will be good for two weeks.

    Move-in Day Activities
    On your Move-in day, you are invited to participate in our Ice Cream Social & Game Night starting at 7:30pm on the first floor of the Student Union. Get to know your fellow students, play games, win prizes, and enjoy some ice cream.

    Orientation Programs
    On Tuesday, January 7, there will be various opportunities to learn about what the university has to offer. Some events will be livestreamed for guests that are not able to travel to the area, which can be found by referencing the schedule.

  • Summer A 2025

    Check-in/Move-in
    For students starting in the Summer A term, New Student Orientation will be held on May 12, 2025.  ERAU Check-in will be from 9 - 11 am at the Mori Hosseini Student Union, after which you may move into your residence hall.

  • Summer B 2025

    For students starting in the Summer B term, New Student Orientation will be held on Sunday, June 29 - Monday June 30, 2025.

    Check-in/Move-in
    ERAU Check-in will be on Sunday June 29th from 9am - 12pm at the Mori Hosseini Student Union, after which you may move into your residence hall.

  • Fall 2025

    Important Dates

    For students starting in the Fall term, ERAU Check-in and Move-in will take place across two days, from August 17-18. New Student Orientation programs will be held August 19-23.  There will be several pre-Orientation programs held during the August 17-18 period.  If you are in a ROTC program or in the Discover Scholars program, please check for emails from those offices for your schedule information.

    Check-in & Move-in
    Students must sign up in advance for a move-in time. Sign-up for a check-in & move-in time will begin on March 1st and can be found on this website on the Orientation home page. Once you go through our Check-in process, you are able to move in. 

    ERAU Check-in/Move-in will offer two options to balance convenience and Florida's rainy summer weather:

    • A drive-through process in the mornings from 8 am - 1 pm. Students and families will be able to stay in their cars as they proceed through getting keys and Orientation materials and then may head directly to the residence halls to unload their belongings.

    • A Student Union option in the afternoons from 2 - 5 pm.  Students and families can park near the Union and go to the Union Event Center to check in and receive their keys and Orientation materials.  After that, you can drive to the residence halls to move in!

    From Tuesday, August 19 – Saturday August 23, there will be a mix of in-person and virtual opportunities to get to know your fellow students, have some fun, and learn about what the university has to offer. Many in-person events will also be livestreamed, using the Zoom platform.

    Spring Orientation
    The Parent & Family programming portion of Spring Orientation will take place on January 7, 2025.

    Summer A & B Orientation
    The Parent & Family programming portion of Summer A & B Orientation will take place concurrently with the student programming.

    Fall Orientation
    A mix of Parent and Family Orientation programs will be offered during Orientation Week on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 and Wednesday, August 20, 2025.
