Our mission is to foster a vibrant community dedicated to exploring diverse worldviews, engaging in critical thinking, and cultivating a deeper understanding of the world and ourselves. Through meaningful dialogue, philosophical inquiry, and creative expression, we aim to inspire personal growth, social awareness, and a sense of purpose among our members. We believe in the power of collective thought and strive to create a space where every voice is heard and valued.
The Philosophy Club is assembling the first team to represent Embry-Riddle at the APPE Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl, held December 5 at the University of North Florida. Teams receive real ethical cases ahead of time and are judged on how clearly and honestly they reason through them.
The team will be five competitors and one alternate, led by Ibrahim Arnous, founder and president of the Philosophy Club, and coached by Dr. Michael Lindquist of the Humanities Department. No philosophy or debate background is needed, and signing up is not a commitment. Fill out the interest form to get the case set and updates!
Be part of a community that values diverse thoughts and deep discussions. Together, we explore ideas that shape our world.
