About Us
Women in Aviation is a large international networking organization. The Daytona Beach Chapter here at ERAU provides several fellowship opportunities for its members throughout the spring and fall semesters. In addition to fellowship and networking opportunities, WAI also offers opportunities to participate in community service, travel to conference in the spring, and apply to member-exclusive scholarships. Meetings are held regularly, and the Women in Aviation Daytona Beach Chapter is a recognized gold-wing club. Women in Aviation International provides a strong sense of community, and although the organization is typically geared towards educating women in aviation-related fields, the Daytona Beach Chapter welcomes male membership as well! The Daytona Beach Chapter of Women in Aviation typically meets around twice per month; one club meeting and one social take place monthly. Social events vary greatly- anywhere from paintball and skydiving to movie night, or getting together to teach young girls about aviation. Meetings are used to keep members up to date about club happenings, sign up for upcoming events, scholarship and resume workshops, and guest speakers. During the Spring semester, members are given the opportunity to travel to the Women in Aviation International Conference with our chapter. The 2020 conference will take place in Lake Buena Vista, Florida from March 5-7. Fall 2019, meetings dates are: Sep: 19, October: 7 and 24, November: 7 and 21. Every meeting will take place in the College of Aviation (COA) Room 143 @ 6pm. Social events take place every so often so keep an eye on your emails! Don't miss out on your chance to join one of the largest networking organizations in the aviation industry!
