Mission BLUF: Our primary mission is supporting student veterans. If you are looking for a close-knit community and sense of purpose similar to that in the military, come check us out. We are mainly a social club that does community service. Come and go as you please. You probably had enough "mandatory fun" already; we won't make you go through that again. There are no membership dues this year, no mandatory meetings, no minimum amount of events to attend. Our mission is to support and advocate for student veterans by enhancing their lives and improving their relationship to the university, student body, and community through professional and academic development, volunteering, and promoting camaraderie. We understand that you may be a few years older than most of your classmates. We assist our members through social activities (e.g. range days and beach cookouts), university initiatives, and community projects. To clarify any confusion: we are NOT the Veteran Student Services office where you turn in VA education benefit paperwork. We are a student club, not part of the campus administration. In other words, the Dude not the Man.
Membership BenefitsMost SVO members are military-affiliated students (veterans, active duty, reservists, guard, and military dependents), but membership is open to all ERAU students.A sense of connection, good times, quality memes, what's not to like?Got a problem and don't know where to start? Ask us, we know a lot of resources! Classes, administration, finances, health and wellness, housing, whatever. We'll tell it to you straight.
Membership will end on 31 May 2026
