About Us
The Micro-G club participates in NASA's Micro-G NExT challenges. Micro-G NExT stands for: Neutral Buoyancy Experiment Design Teams. These challenges are for undergraduate students aimed at giving these students an opportunity to design, build, and test a tool or device that addresses a current space exploration issue. Students will create a design and a proposal to be reviewed by NASA. If approved, student teams can build their design and test it at the NASA Johnson Space Center Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory (NBL). Professional NBL divers will test the tools with student-given directions. The teams which make it to testing week will be able to directly communicate with the divers from the Test Conductor Room. Testing is conducted over a 2 to 3 day period in Houston, Texas at the Johnson Space Center.
