Japanese Food Festival

JSA has been hosting the Japanese Food Festival on campus and we see many people have enjoyed our event in the past. The event is an opportunity for everyone to try Japanese foods as well as parts of Japanese culture. For the food, we plan to serve Karaage (Japanese fried chicken), Ochazuke (a tea and rice dish), takoyaki, nikuman (pork buns), yakitori, ground pork dumplings, dorayaki, mochi, and a variety of Japanese drinks. We may also provide cultural experience such as Japanese calligraphy, matcha making, konpira fune fune (a game played by giesha), etc. In Japan, the fall and spring festivals boost connectivity for citizens, and we would like to replicate similar results for the ERAU community. Food is an essential part of Japanese culture and community we hope to share companionship through good Japanese food and drink. Through this, we are encouraging the ERAU community to come together in a fun and engaging way to experience Japanese culture. Feel free to ask us any questions.
