Mission
The Experimental Rocket Propulsion Lab (ERPL) is a student-run organization dedicated to the study of rocket motors, including research, development, manufacturing, and testing. We are one of the major contributors to the ERAU orbital launch initiative. Currently there are four subdivisions of teams: Liquid Engines, Hybrid Motors, Plasma Engines, and Landing Systems.

The goal of ERPL is to provide a hands-on learning experience for Embry-Riddle students involving the different disciplines required to successfully make rocket engines and apply their classroom knowledge to real-life projects involving rocketry. This allows a unique opportunity to any class of student from freshman to seniors to be part of an actual rocket development project that follows much of the process and design goals of an aerospace industry

Our Hybrids division takes part of a yearly competition in which various goals are set out from launching to a specific height and returning safely, to being able to launch specific payloads. This provides a dynamic and fast paced experience that is constantly growing with every year.

Members are assisted in gaining their various rocket certification levels through NAR and Tripoli. ERPL also is able to organize company tours and speakers by using the member base and university name to get access to companies that may not otherwise be willing to allow people to tour.

Regardless of what area you decide to focus on in the club, all members have a close bond and work together to help everyone learn and enjoy the experience. We are always growing, expanding and learning so there will never be a dull moment in ERPL!
