Details

Smyrna Yacht Club has hosted the Brewers Cup since 1999 and it has become a notible feature on the Indian River (Intracoastal Waterway}. It is a downwind "FUN" race between the Smyrna Yacht Club and Mosquito Lagoon, a distance of about 10 miles. The direction - eithor racing north or south- is chosen to create a downwind race, which allows many of the boats to fly spinnacers. In addition we use a staggered start so that many of the boats will finish the race together. This can be particularly exciting if the handicappers get it right
