About Us

The Icarus Sounding Rocket Program (ISRP) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is a student-driven initiative dedicated to establishing a groundbreaking sounding rocket program within ERAU. We are revolutionizing aerospace education and exploration at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University by offering our members unparalleled experiences.

The purposes of ISRP are to:

- Design, manufacture, and fly sounding rockets capable of surpassing the Karman Line

- Design, manufacture, and fly sounding rockets

- Provide affordable and sustainable access to space within Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

- Assist in the development of leadership skills, teamwork, and academic experience.

- Provide a forum where students can exchange ideas and actively engage in like-minded research and development

ISRP offers a wide range of participation opportunities, welcoming students from all disciplines and levels of experience. Whether you are studying engineering, space operations, business, or aviation, there is a place for you in our program.
